Dr. Marc Stees
Fellowship trained Mohs surgeon in Dixon, IL
I was born and raised in Freeport, IL. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign earning a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a master’s degree in Microbiology. I then completed medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society as a junior medical student. This is a designation bestowed to students in the top 5% of their class. Also, while at SIU, I scored in the 99th percentile of all medical students nationally on the United States Medical Licensing Examination. I then completed my dermatology residency at SIU, where I was chief resident my final year. I have been board certified in dermatology since 2005, and board certified in Mohs surgery since 2021, the inaugural year of this designation.
